Duterte signs law declaring September 8 a special working holiday

President Rodrigo Duterte has signed into law a bill declaring September 8 a special working holiday.

This is to commemorate the Feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The law is Republic Act 11370. The bill passed the Senate in May 2019.

The Feast of Nativity is one of the oldest Marian traditions and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Schools and establishments will be opened during a special working holiday.
