‘Nilaglag ang spokesperson?’ MMDA top officials want Doris Bigornia to continue covering them

ABS-CBN reporter Doris Bigornia found an ally from Metro Manila Development Authority officials General Manager Jojo Garcia and Chairperson Danny Lim.

This is in response to the letter written by MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago asking ABS-CBN news head Ging Reyes to replace Bigornia.

“I accidentally bumped into Ms. Bigornia. I apologized to her but instead she struck me and kept shouting at me as if I deliberately did it,” Pialago wrote.

She even said that Bigornia was backstabbing her and spreading lies about her within MMDA.

“She was backstabbing me, saying my nose is fake, my body is fake, and everything about me is fake and that is totally below the belt,” Pialago added.

In a letter written on Thursday, MMDA top officials that Pialago’s request was a consolidated request by the entire department.

“We would like to inform you that Asec. Pialago’s letter is personal in nature. It does not represent the entire MMDA as an institution,” Garcia said in a letter.

They also commended Bigornia’s effort to cover the MMDA and informing the public with her reports.

“We have a very good professional working relationship and your person has been very helpful in conveying MMDA’s message,” he said.

The bosses even wanted that Bigornia covering the MMDA beat.

“We will be very pleased if you will be retained as ABS-CBN’s assigned reporter for the Agency,” Garcia said.
