An Arab man stabbed an Asian in the face because he did not like the way he stood near him outside his home in Dubai.
The man told court that he was standing outside his house in Hor Al Anz area when the Asian wearing sunglasses came and stood opposite him.
“I did not like the way he stood and looked at me. I asked him why he was standing there and replied rudely,” the Arab told court.
The defendant said he stabbed that man after he grabbed his hand but the Asian denied the charge, and furthered that the Arab also tried to stab him in other parts of his body.
The official daily Al Bayan said the judge sentenced the Arab to two years in prison and ordered him deported from the UAE on charges of assaulting and stabbing him, causing 20% permanent disability in his face.
The judge also decided to refer the Asian to the misdemeanor court, it added.
