Former Barrigada altar boy files lawsuit against priest who sexually abused him

A former Barrigada altar boy has filed a lawsuit against Father Louis Brouillard whom he accused of sexually abusing him around 1976 or 1977.

The complainant was only identified in local court documents as P.P.P. to protect his privacy. P.P.P. He is represented by attorney Delia Lujan Wolff of Lujan & Wolff.
In the lawsuit, the former altar boy is demanding $5 million in minimum damages against the Boy Scouts of America, Capuchin Franciscans and up to 47 other unnamed defendants. P.P.P. that the priest instructed all the boys to swim naked in the Lonfit River and accused that the priest groped and touched their private parts.
P.P.P. added that Brouillard, whom he referred to as “Pale,” also sexually abused his older brother, also an altar boy and a Boy Scout. P.P.P. also accused the priest of allowing other altar boys and Boy Scouts to drink the church’s sacramental wine and eat the bread.
As of this week, at least 240 Guam clergy sex abuse claims have been filed against the Archdiocese of Agana, the Boy Scouts of America and others associated with the Catholic Church.
Also set to be filed are claims against the archdioceses part of the church’s bankruptcy case.
