LPA, southwest monsoon, typhoon bring more rains in PH

Aside from typhoon “Hanna” with international name “Lekima”, the low pressure area and southwest monsoon are affecting the Philippines, making Luzon and Western Visayas wetter.

Based on PAGASA weather bulletin, as of 4 pm Philippine Time, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 325 km West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan (15.9°N, 117.3°E). Based on all available data, this weather disturbance remains less likely to develop into a Tropical Depression.

On the other hand, severe tropical storm “Krosa” was estimated at 2,010 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (21.2°N, 141.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It is moving North Northwest at 15 km/h and is not expected to enter the PAR.
