An Arab passenger wreaked havoc aboard a flight from the USA to Dubai by molesting and assaulting a stewardess who asked him to return to his seat.

The aircraft, which belongs to a local airline, was is mid air when the unnamed passenger shifted from his economy class seat to the business section, prompting the head of the cabin crew to ask him to return to his seat.

But he refused and threatened her, saying he has friends in the Dubai police and that she should leave him alone.

The passenger’s father, who was flying with him, tried to apologize to the stewardess who then went to deal with other passengers.

But the passenger followed her, grabbed her hand, clenched his fist in her face and threatened her before starting to touch sensitive parts of her body.

The official daily Emarat Al Youm said the stewardess “had a nervous breakdown and decided to take a one-month break from work” adding that the passenger tried to assault another Asian stewardess who tried to calm him down.

“The passenger was arrested after arrival in Dubai….the prosecutor charged him of molesting a flight employee, threatening and abusing her, assaulting two employees and damaging public property.”
