In quick visit to the city’s so-called red light district, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno called out foreigners violating the smoking ban in public places.
“Akala kasi nila ‘pag ganitong oras walang gobyerno,” Moreno said in an interview.
Moreno repeatedly told the foreigners not to smoke because it’s not allowed in the city.
He also found a number of illegally parked vehicles causing traffic in the area.
The bar management where the illegally parked vehicles and smoking ban violators were found refused to initially cooperate with the police.
“Pag pinupuntahan kayo ng pulis, makikiisa kayo,” Moreno said.
The city mayor then went to Ospital ng Sampaloc where he received complaints of lack of medicines and patients complaints about the hospital the attitude of the staff.
After his inspection Moreno said that the hospital passed his standards.
