DUBAI: A post on Twitter showing a man throwing a cigarette butt into a hole with an open sewer and causing a huge explosion has apparently gone viral with the comment thread deriding him for not thinking what he was doing and others saying it was a sign for him to quit smoking.
Sewers, like trash dump sites, emit methane gas, which can also be found in farts – reason why you have Jude Law’s bunch having a man breaking wind to light a fire and prepare food in that 2001 film, “Enemy at the Gates.”
Apparently unbeknownst to the cigarette smoker, the hole to which he threw the butt in had a sewer –or he just didn’t mind after catching a whiff of the odor emanating from the hole.
And so… kaboom it went with the video showing him crawling his way back with shoe in the hole which has become bigger because of the explosion.
