Three Asian construction workers are on trial in Sharjah on charges of turning their home into a cannabis farm.
The prosecutor has accused the three of planting cannabis in jars inside their workers’ living quarters in the Northern emirate and dealing in drugs.
After receiving a tip off, police raided their room and discovered a large quantity of cannabis planted in several jars.
Police arrested two workers for “planting and dealing in cannabis while the third was also held for failing to inform the police,” Al Bayan daily said.
