PH Embassy in Amman’s call waiting service background music is an original harp composition by a Filipina

DUBAI: The Philippine Embassy in Jordan has launched a new official upgraded Internet Phone service that for the first time features an original composition by a young Filipino artist whose work is set to be performed during a 2019 Gala Showcase in Singapore on Sept. 7 this year.

Bianca Cruz won the Category 3 Audience Choice Award of the HarpFest Competition for her composition, “After the Storm,” a compelling and spirited rendition which will also be used by the Philippine Embassy in Amman for its call waiting service, according to a media advisory released by the foreign mission.

“In support of young and inspiring Filipino artists, the Philippine Embassy aims to present original Filipino artistic works in public engagements and frontline services as part of its public diplomacy agenda,” the embassy said.
