Dubai: A group of five males used the Snapchat messaging service to lure a 16-year-old boy to an apartment where they gang raped him.
The boy was at home in Dubai when he received a message from another boy he just knew through the social media app.
The message invited him for an early morning breakfast at a local café and the unsuspecting boy immediately took a cab and went for the presumed meal.
He found that “friend” with four other boys, who drove him to a nearby apartment, where they asked him to take his clothes off.
“They jumped on the boy and forced him to take his clothes off. Then they took turns in raping him before driving him back home,” Al Khaleej newspaper reported.
Although they had threatened him, the boy told his elder brother who informed the police about the crime.
The five were later arrested and are now on trial.
