WATCH: Duterte sings ‘Ikaw’, ‘Moon River’, invites Philharmonic orchestra in Malacañang

The Philippines’ Philharmonic Orchestra serenaded the halls of Batasang Pambansa for the first time during a President’s State Of the Nation Address (SONA).

At the end of President Rodrigo Duterte’s speech, the orchestra played the classic song ‘Ikaw’ which happens to be Duterte’s favorite song.

The Chief Executive then sang his favourite song with the Philharmonic Orchestra. He also granted a request to sing ‘Moon River’.

Duterte then thanked the orchestra group and invited them to Malacañang for a simple gathering.

“Ang galing niyo. Let’s have a small fellowship in Malacañang, maybe around 10 people with us,” Duterte said.

Duterte then shared his experience about being in the country’s top post calling himself a ‘prisoner’.

The President said that he misses doing ordinary stuff like singing songs.

“Dinner tayo, invite friends, tugtog kayo if you want,” Duterte said.
