Davao City Mayor and presidential daughter Sara Duterte revealed that she will be watching her father’s State Of the Nation Address (SONA) from home.
Sara is on a 60-day medical leave and has announced the she will skip her father’s annual event.
“I will watch the SONA with my mother,” Sara told Inquirer.
This is the first time Sara will not be attending SONA. Last year, Sara was named as one of the powerful personalities who lobbied for the ouster of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
“We can only pray for her safety and or recovery from whatever illness that she is presently suffering,” Malacanang said in a press briefing.
Her brother, Davao Vice Mayor Sebastian ‘Baste’ Duterte also said that he will watch his father’s SONA on television.
