An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has been repatriated back home from after accommodating his girlfriend in their headquarters in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The man made his girlfriend wear the company’s uniform in order to be unnoticed and sneaked into their headquarters.
But the OFW’s co-worker who is also a foreign national saw the woman in the bathroom and reported it to the management of the company.
The move was a clear violation of the existing law in Saudi. The company immediately ordered the repatriation of the said OFW.
The OFW had reached Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) welfare officer James Mendiola for assistance.
But the OWWA office said that the man was lucky because his employer did not report him to the authorities.
“Ang ginawa ni kabayan ay immorality at maari syang makulong nang hindi bababa ng isang taon at possible pa syang mapalo buti na lang at mabait pa rin ang kanyang kumpanya at pinakawalan na lang ang babae at pinauwi na lang ng Pilipinas ang nobyo nito,“ Mediola told GMA News.
