The Dubai Criminal Court heard the case of a 26-year-old cleaner who was accused of stealing Dh 1,900 from a police officer’s bag at one of Dubai’s police stations.
Investigations revealed that the victim works at the Department of Customer Happiness but was assigned to handle customer calls on the day of the incident. Therefore, she kept her bag on her table but later on realized that the amount was missing.
She immediately reported to her colleague who checked CCTV cameras and saw the cleaner stealing the money. He eventually admitted theft crime after finding Dh 1,870 at his accommodation.
