British newspaper, The Daily Mail has released a really interesting piece about it described as “super penthouses that are fast-becoming a must-have asset for the uktra-rich.”
“They dominate the top floors of skyscrapers, come with the likes of helipads, infinity pools and a butler service,” Main Online said, adding that with uninterrupted panoramic views, luxurious furnishings and private gyms, these ‘super penthouses’ – in some of the world’s most exclusive locations – will set their buyers back between £16million and £265million – that’s Php1.02 billion to Ph16.97 trillion!
But despite eye-watering price-tags, the demand among billionaires for such properties is growing, according to List Sotheby’s International Realty in Singapore which has listed some of the most desirable options on the market, said the report.
It cited Chief operating officer Leong Boon Hoe, as telling the South China Morning Post: ‘We see emerging demand from a niche segment in Singapore who are willing to pay top dollar for the best property.
“Other than the expected pride of ownership, large penthouses are becoming a desirable asset, much like mega-yachts and private jets. A super-penthouse could double as an office – where he could work in absolute privacy, or hold meetings with his management team – or as a private venue to entertain clients.”
Super penthouses are defined by a minimum floor space of 10,000 square feet, in a major city, according to the luxury realty company. They must also feature 360-degree views, a hotel-style concierge plus an added ‘wow’ factor – in one case the inclusion of a 1.01-carat blue $3million diamond.
Reflections at Keppel Bay
Reflections at Keppel Bay in Singapore is a 99-year leasehold waterfront residential complex on approximately 84,000 m² of land with 750m of shoreline.
The complex boasts a 100,000 square-feet reflecting pool skirting the 24- to 41-storey towers, and lifestyle amenities such as an Olympic-length swimming pool and a state-of-the-art gymnasium, all of which provide stylish settings for leisure and social gatherings.

Tour Odéon Tower Sky Penthouse, Monaco
Sitting on top of the second tallest building on the Mediterranean coastline, the 35,500 sq ft, five-storey penthouse boasts 360-degree sea views of Monaco’s Skyline and the Mediterranean sea.
Artist impressions show a water slide extending from the dance floor to the private infinity pool on the terrace.
The penthouse is shaping up to be one of the world’s most expensive penthouses per square metre.
Asking price: £310 million (US$387 million or Php24.79 billion)
Wallich Residence, Marina Bay, Singapore
Wallich Residence, the largest of the listings in Singapore, is reported to have changed hands this summer with British billionaire James Dyson reported to be the new owner of the three-floor property.
Mr Dyson, who invented the bagless vacuum cleaner, and his wife Deirdre Hindmarsh became tenants of the 99-year leasehold property on June 20, according to official title records.
It is a five-bedroom ‘villa in the sky’, spanning three floors with a floor area of 21,108 sq ft. The penthouse has its own private lift and lift lobby and features a 600-bottle wine cellar.
Standing at 951 feet above sea level, residents will have views of the Central Business District, Marina Bay, and Sentosa Island from its pool, cabana, jacuzzi and entertainment areas.

One Thousand Museum, Miami
One Thousand Museum is a high-rise residential condominium under construction in Miami, Florida.
The building is located at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard and was designed by Pritzker prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. After her death, the Project Director of Zaha Hadid Architects, Chris Lepine, finished the project.
The property has a floor area of 10,000 sq ft and features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a media room with a wet bar, a staff area and over 1,000 sq ft of terrace.
Asking price: £16.4 million (US$20.5 million or Php1.31 billion)
Concourse Skyline Penthouse, Singapore
The Concourse Skyline Penthouse is an S$48million residence located at Beach Road in Singapore.
It is a duplex penthouse with a huge floor area of 11,130 sq ft, five bedrooms and a private roof garden.
It is fully furnished in collaboration with various luxury brands. It was completed in 2014 and occupies the top three levels of the building.
According to the South China Morning Post, developed Hong Fok Corporation is throwing in a rare, 1.01-carat blue diamond with an estimated value over US$3 million.
Asking price: £28.41 million (US$35.4 million or Php2.27 billion)
Eighty Seven Park, Miami Beach, Miami
The sprawling Eighty Seven Park in Miami Beach has a building height of 200ft and a floor area of 30,657 sq ft.
The property was designed by acclaimed architect Renzo Piano and features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a private gym and two infinity pools.
Other luxury amenities include a personal fitness center and two summer kitchens.
Asking price: £54.5 million (US$68 million or Php4.35 billion)
The Marq on Paterson Hill, Singapore
Another stunning super-penthouse is the 17,642 sq ft apartment at The Marq on Paterson Hill in Singapore.
The Marq is decked out with Hermès designer furniture, furnishing fabrics, wallpapers, carpets, tableware and bespoke leather upholstery.
The lower two levels also feature a secret entrance that’s concealed by a James Bond-style rotating cabinet.
It is billed as having been ‘conceived to meet the desire for large well-appointed living spaces within the metropolitan city of Singapore’
