Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages one to four years old, according to American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
One of the biggest threat especially for families is “unsupervised or unexpected access to water”.
So if you are planning to go for a swim with your toddlers or you have a swimming pool at home, parents are advised to place safety fences or barriers to keep them off the area.
