Senator Richard ‘Dick’ Gordon reminded neophyte lawmaker Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa to be mindful on his comments because he is no longer a policeman but a lawmaker.
Gordon said that Bato’s comment that ‘s**t happens’ in a police operation isn’t acceptable and he should think like a senator now.
“He has to wake up, slap himself in the face and say, ‘Ay senador na nga pala ako,” Gordon said in an interview with CNN Philippines.
Gordon also expressed his concern about Bato handling the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs.
“I think poor judgment on his part to make such statements I will never say that happens. Ang problema ko sa kanya, he will be the chairman on the Senate Committee on Dangerous Drugs,” he said.
Bato has already apologized for his comment, saying he made a wrong choice of words.
