A fire destroyed a building at the Cogon public market in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Wednesday afternoon, July 10.
At least 80 stalls inside a building of the market were destroyed in the fire, according to acting City fire marshal Marlyn Macatangay.
The blaze started at around 1 pm, officials said.
Cogon Public Market is a popular landmark in Bohol’s capital.
According to vendors, the fire originated at the second floor of a store which sold bananas and jackfruits located in the dry goods section of the market.
Firefighters were able to put the fire under control at around 1:50 p.m.
No casualties have been reported.
Authorities have yet to determine what caused the blaze.
