Former Manila Mayor Joseph Erap Estrada still has some explaining to do about alleged questionable expenses his administration has incurred during his term, according to the latest Commission on Audit (COA) report.
The COA said there is an outstanding total of Php140 million worth of unresolved and unliquidated cash advances done by Estrada in the last three months of his term as city mayor.
Incumbent Mayor Isko Moreno’s information officer said Estrada’s office had Php67,165,880.48 in disallowances, P42,538,364.47 in suspensions and P31,317,076.36 in charges.
COA said the Estrada administration left Manila with at least Php4.3 billion cash deficit.
