A 14-year-old teenager and water vendor did not think twice to return a pouch worth Php 130,000.
LJ Alejandro found the bag full of money in a restroom at the Kalibo International Airport.
Alejandro went home and told his family what happened and they immediately went to the Kalibo Airport Police Station.
The pouch contains thousands of cash and identification cards of a Chinese national named Yihe Hong.
The owner immediately went to the police station to report the lost item. But when the police confirmed that Hong is the owner they turned over the pouch to the Chinese national, as per a report from Energy FM 107.7 Kalibo.
Hong then gave Alejandro a portion of the lost money before flying back to China.
The Kalibo police reminds tourists and visitors to always watch their valuable items.
