Four neophyte senators attend senate orientation

Four Senate newcomers attended an orientation on the roles and responsibilities they are about to perform starting June 30.

Senators-elect Imee Marcos, Francis Tolentino, Bong Go and Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa were in attendance. 

Go said it’s like he’s back to school again.
Dela Rosa first brought up the idea of holding a seminar on Senate rules, which was seconded by his fellow newcomers.

The briefing focuses on the general rules snd principles of the Senate, lawmaking and procurement. 

The new senators are also expected to meet their respective committees. 

Marcos will meet the committees on electoral reform, economic affairs, and social justice.

Go will meet committees on health, housing and games. 

Dela Rosa will have a discussion on public order and illegal drugs, while Tolentino will meet the secretariat on local government and justice.
