Sharjah Police launched a device that could transmit messages to car radios to inform motorists to give way for an approaching emergency vehicles or patrol cars.
The police said this would ensure rapid response to emergencies and help the authorities reach their destinations at the soonest possible time.
“The police are determined to enhance public safety and security through the use of the latest technologies, in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Interior,” Sharjah police said.
This, as the Ministry of Interior announced that drivers who will not give way to emergency vehicles will be slapped with a fine of Dh3,000 starting July 1.
