The Labor Department said that the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) is now looking into the accident that happened on the set of an upcoming GMA teleserye that resulted into the death of veteran actor Eddie Garcia.
Garcia suffered sustained a neck fracture last June 8 while doing a scene in his upcoming telerseye. Some observers said Garcia tripped in one of the cables on the set that made him lost his balance.
GMA Network said in a previous statement that it is reviewing all video materials of the taping to find out why there was no medic or ambulance on standby while filming.
“Nasa OSHC na siya ngayon at ini-imbestigahan na. Need bigyan value workplace ng workers, napakahalaga yun,” Bello said.
Bello attended the first day of Garcia’s wake. The actor passed away last Thursday. He was 90 years old.
