Former DFA secretary Del Rosario held at HK airport for 6 hours

Former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario experienced the similar fate with former Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales as he was held and questioned at Hong Kong International, Friday.

Del Rosario was in a Cathay Pacific flight which was scheduled to arrive at 7AM.

Del Rosario’s lawyer Anne Marie Corominas said she is questioning why Del Rosario, a diplomatic passport holder, was held in the airport for six hours.

Del Rosario and Morales filed a case against Chinese President Xi Jin Ping at the International Criminal Court last March.

The incident comes after a Chinese fishing vessel rammed a Filipino boat in Recto Bank in the West Philippine Sea.
