Former army general Ricardo ‘Dick’ Morales has been appointed as the new president of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) according to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

Duterte previously named Morales as the replacement of MWSS Chairman Rey Leonardo Guerrerro after his failure to solve Manila water problems.

The former general will be replacing Dr. Roy Ferrer who was asked by the President to submit their courtesy resignations along with other top officials of PhilHealth.

Two former employees of WellMed Dialysis Center in Quezon City revealed that they have been claiming payments for fake kidney dialysis treatments for dead patients.
