Dubai Municipality has denied rumors that Maggie’s cubes contain the internal intestines and nails of chickens, and sodium mono-glutamate which affects brain cells of children, liver, kidneys, etc.
“These allegations are not based on any reference, scientific source or official health authoritym,” stated the Dubai Municipality.
The authorities furthered that other food additives found within the food flavor enhancer adhere to the international standards. “The food additives in the Maggie Cubes, such as sodium glutamate, are authorized according to the UAE standard, as well as international standards such as the Codex Alimentarius and European standards,” adds the Dubai Municipality.
The Dubai Municipality affirms the public that it guarantees the safety of the products available across all grocery shelves: “We, at Dubai Municipality, ensure that all local and imported food products are safe and suitable for human consumption.”
