A Facebook page named PAWSsion Project is appealing netizens or dog lovers to adopt 35 stray dogs who are currently in a pounding house in Muntinlupa City.
The dogs will be euthanized soon if no one will adopt them. Under the law, euthanizing dogs in support of the anti-rabbies act is legal.
“These poor dogs will be dead by tomorrow if unadopted. ADOPT AND SAVE A LIFE. Shelters can only do so much. They deserve a forever home and a family,” the Facebook page said.
The page owner also believed that impounding and killing dogs are not the solution to stray dogs.
The page adds that there should be strict penalties to those who may found guilty of animal cruelty and that includes irresponsible pet ownership.
