A 17-year-old girl died in Midsayap, Cotabato after she was hacked in her face and head by her father, who was reportedly blinded by his anger, GMA News reported.
The victim was identified as Jeanny Mae Socito, who was killed in hee room in Barangay Upper Glad 1, Midsayap, Cotabato.
The police said that aside from hack wounds, she was also stabbed in the abdomen.
The suspect has been arrested and is currently detained at the Midsayap police station.
The suspect said that he got mad because the girl would always answer back and that she went home late from school.
The stepmother of the victim could not be reached for comment as of press time.
