Eddie Garcia on ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ status – spokesperson

Veteran actor Eddie Garcia is still fighting for his life.

He is still in critical condition.

The spokesperson for the Garcia family, Dr. Tony Rebosa, said that the family has not agreed to withdraw the actor’s life support.

“Please be informed that the family of Mr. Eddie Garcia has not authorized nor has it consented to withdrawal of life support. They have however agreed to place him on DNR status. Thank you,” Rebosa said in a text message to reporters.

DNR or Do-Not-Resuscitate is an order by a doctor not to revive or perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the patient if his/her heart stops breathing.

Garcia has been hospitalized after an incident during a shooting of his upcoming teleserye on GMA Network.

Findings shown that Garcia has cervical or neck fracture. As of 1PM Friday the 90 year old actor is still in ‘comatose’ state.
