The Judiciary of the Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced an Arab legal consultant at his 60s to a year’s imprisonment and deportation afterwards, for forging four receipts issued by Dubai Courts, in order to use them against the company owner (of his same nationality) and steal Dh145,450 given to him on the basis of procuration.
During investigations, the owner of the company testified saying that the legal advisor has worked for him from February – September 2017 and that he used to give the latter amounts of money to handle company-related cases and raise lawsuits against some other companies when needed. The owner eventually discovered that the accused is stealing the money and not depositing it in Dubai Courts.
