Asian refuses blood money, insists on punishment of brother’s murderer

A young Asian man refused to waive his right to have the murderer of his brother punished, rejecting all money offered to him to accept reconciliation with the killer and pardon him.

During the hearing, which was heard before  the Abu Dhabi Criminal Court, the brother of the victim held a request to impose the maximum penalty against the accused, pointing out that he lost his closest brother and that his family lives in a state of sadness and shock due to the tragedy of his brother’s death.

When asked by the court, the brother of the victim stated that all members of his family demand the retribution against the accused, insisting that there will be no relinquishment to pardon the accused in exchange for blood money or any other way of settlement.

Furthermore, the lawyer of the accused requested the legitimate defense of his client, stating that the incident was that the victim and a girl came to the whereabouts of the accused, where there a dispute has arisen since the accused has committed a number of violations of the applicable regulations of the company in which they all work. This eventually developed into a mutual assault.

The accused used a knife to threaten the victim and the girl. When the victim tried to deter him, he stabbed him to the chest and abdomen which resulted in the fall of a fast boiled-blood. The concerned departments rushed to the crime scene, arrested the murderer and then referred him to the criminal court.
