Duty Free employee earns praise for returning OFW’s lost wallet

A Duty Free Philippines employee earned praise after he returned a lost wallet containing $1,000 or around P51,000 to an overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

According to a report on Inquirer.net, store attendant Ariel Dela Peña returned the wallet to its owner, Alexis Aecuban Celeste, after he found it near the entrance of Duty Free Arrival Mall at NAIA Terminal 3 on June 3.

Dela Peña, who has been working for Duty Free Philippines for three years now, was commended by the retail giant’s Chief Operating Officer Vicente Pelagio A. Angala for his honesty.

Angala also urged other Duty Free employees to follow Dela Peña’s example.
