Alleged int’l drug ring member operating in Dubai arrested in Cebu

An alleged member of an international drug syndicate operating in Dubai was arrested on Thursday dawn following a buy-bust operation in Talisay City.

He was identified as Mark Anthony Navarrete Toh alyas “Makoy” along with two others – Ruferd Gella and Juanito Amahan Jr.

In a report from Cebu Daily News Digital, they were arrested by the Drug Enforcement Unity of the Talisay City Police at around 1 a.m. inside the Toh’s house in Phase 1 of Deca Homes in Barangay Dumlog.

According to Talisay City police chief Lt. Col. Marlu Conag, Toh was the target of their operation.

He was previously arrested for illegal drugs in Dubai back in 2017.

After he was deported back to the Philippines, he reportedly stayed in Batangas where he continued his illegal drug business.

He was selling to his customers using the messaging applications Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

A total of 21 grams of suspected shabu was seized from Toh’s house during the anti-drug operation.

It has a street value of P145,860.
