The Faculty of Engineering of the University of Santos Tomas (UST) is investigating a professor and students tagged in the leakage of nude videos and photos reportedly shared in a private group chat.
The Varsitarian, UST’s student publication, reported that the Faculty of Engineering conducted a “fact-finding meeting” with the students and started investigating the involvement of the faculty.
“They all intend to willingly step forward to shed light on the matter. They categorically stated that they have no intention of evading the issue,” Kirby Salonga, engineering student council treasurer, was quoted in the report as saying.
He also said the students were urged to explain why the university should not file a disciplinary action against them.
A Twitter account named “Anon Leaks” has bared screen shots of the group chat showing nude photos and videos of female students from different universities and lewd messages from group members.
Gabriela Women’s Party has offered to help the victims. The UST administration has not yet issued a statement.
