An employee working at an Abu Dhabi raffle company is facing charges for cheating customers in raffle draws by presenting coupons bearing the names of his family members.
The coupons made him win vehicles and other major prizes. The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court of First Instance reported that the man was conducting raffle draws for customers but secretly picked coupons from his pockets where his relatives’ names were written on the winning coupons.
Prizes involved cars and cash. The accused is in his 30s. The man has so far given 4 Nissan Patrols and air tickets to his relatives.
The man has admitted his crimes. He is facing fraud charges against his employers and cheating his customers.
A court’s decision will be issued on June 26
