Duterte invited to South Korea with Russia’s Putin

Manila: President Rodrigo Duterte will likely meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in South Korea if he accepts the country’s invitation.

The invitation to him by South Korea was revealed by Duterte in a speech at the Filipino community in Japan, Thursday, as part of his four-day working visit.

“I have been invited to Korea again, with Putin. I’ll try to figure out if its not so much,” he said.

Duterte said he is still studying the invitation because the trip could be costly like renting planes.

He did not disclose the other details of the invitations.

Duterte first visited South Korea in 2018 where his administration secured 20 investment deals worth 4.8 billion dollars.
