‘Bikoy’ posts Php19,000 bail

Manila: Peter Joemel Advincula, the man who claims to be ‘Bikoy’, is now out of police custody after posting bail, Saturday.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Advincula’s release order was signed at around 9am.

“The cash bond posted by Peter Joemel Advincula, a.k.a Richard Benedict Santos, John Rafael Benedicto and RB Santos, in the amount of Php 19,000 is approved,” Advincula’s release letter stated.

Advincula refused to leave the PNP-CIDG detention area until one of his relatives, his younger brother, showed up.

He was admitted at PNP-General Hospital on Friday due to high blood pressure issues.

Advincula surrendered to the police on Wednesday and later on changed his previous allegations that President Rodrigo Duterte’s family and allies are involved in the illegal drug trade.

Advincula now claims that the Liberal Party and Senator Antonio Trillanes were exerting efforts to oust the President.
