BREAKING: Malacañang denies Duterte was hospitalized at Cardinal Santos

Manila: Presidential Spokesperson Sal Panelo has debunked claims that President Rodrigo Duterte was rushed to Cardinal Santos Hospital in San Juan.

“The President is in his residence at the Palace signing papers. I just talked to him, he is neither confirming nor denying that he went to the hospital,” Panelo said in a message sent to reporters.

Speculations in social media say that Duterte was in the hospital making the hospital in ‘code blue’. No confirmation has been made by Cardinal Santos management.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and Duterte’s former aide Bong Go first denied the rumor.

“He should probably be in his quarters and resting like what I will do in a few minutes. Thanks for understanding,” Medialdea said.

Duterte has been out of the public eye now since the May 13 polls.

In a tweet, Senatorial candidate and Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano demands transparency on the President’s health condition.

He urged Malacañang to release a medical bulletin of Duterte’s health since the Chief Executive has repeatedly admits experiencing a number of illnesses.
