Duterte not interested in filing charges vs. people in new ‘matrix’

President Rodrigo Duterte has issued a statement on Wednesday whether or not he would initiate action against individuals and groups that allegedly are planning to destabilize the government.

“[But] I’m not interested to file cases…,” Duterte said at a campaign rally in Garcia-Hernandez town in Bohol province.

“Lalabas din ang totoo… nagpadala sila ng black propaganda laban sa aking anak,” he added.

He was referring to the latest matrix released by presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo that include people who were allegedly involved in a destabilization plot and in the campaign supporting opposition senatorial candidates in the upcoming polls.

The personalities include VERA Files president Ellen Tordesillas, Aquino administration spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, the Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, and other LP groups and supporters.
Also included was Rodel Jayme, the creator of the Metro Balita website where the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos were uploaded.

The videos show a hooded man tagged members of the Duterte family and associates in the illegal drug trade.

Peter Joemel Advincula recently surfaced and claimed to be ‘Bikoy,’ the hooded narrator in the videos.

Panelo said it was up to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to pursue the necessary charges as Justice Secretary Meynardo Guevarra said agency will study whether there is sufficient basis to refer the new matrix to the National Bureau of Investigation.

Meanwhile, Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) co-founder Jose Maria “Joma” Sison on Wednesday said the “the diagrams drawn and released by Duterte and Panelo are certainly not even worth a scrap of toilet paper.”
