Some Pinoys in Singapore failed to find their name in the voters’ list

Absentee voting in Singapore hit a snag when some overseas Filipino workers did not find their names in the list of registered absentee voters at the embassy, GMA News reported.

“Medyo upset po kasi nag effort na pumunta dito ng maaga para po bumoto. Tapos hindi rin po ako makakaboto,” a voter, Arlene Oribado, said.

So far, more than 12,000 Filipinos cast their vote at the embassy since the absentee voting started.

Meanwhile, several envelopes containing ballots sent by the Philippine embassy to Filipino voters were found scattered in Rome, Italy.

Absentee voting, which the Commission on Elections set for government emmployees, soldiers and police police officers, and members of the media was conducted in various cities.

On the last day of absentee voting, May 1, more than 900 policemen in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija cast their votes.

While about 90 policemen in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao cast their votes on Tuesday.
