Manila, Philippines- The video uploader of a viral series called ‘Ang Totoong Narcolist’ which accuses and links President Rodrigo Duterte’s family in the illegal drug trade is now under the NBI custody.

The series of videos features a man named ‘Bikoy’ and tagged the President, his son Paolo Duterte and even his former special assistant and now senatorial candidate Bong Go as recipients of drug money.

National Bureau of Investigation Office of Cybercrime OIC Atty. Charito Zamora says that the man which the authorities refuse to identify was arrested for ‘cyber libel’

The official, however, denies the report that it was ‘Bikoy’ himself who was arrested.

Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra says the NBI served a search warrant on the man who uploaded the videos issued by a Manila court. Ongoing operations are still underway.

The release of the Youtube videos prompted the calls of some lawmakers to resume the Senate probe on the government’s war on drugs. Malacanang repeatedly denies the allegations made by ‘Bikoy’.

‘The Ang Totoong Narcolist’ series was released right after the Duterte administration released its own version of narcolist ahead of the 2019 midterm elections.
