Week 1 results of Bahrain Filipino Tennis Tournament out

Team Mac defeated Team Ian in division two during the first week of the 15th FCTG Team Tennis Tournament which is being held at Bahrain Tennis Federation courts in Isa Town, Bahrain.

Sponsored by Grand Safir Hotel Bahrain and organized by Filipino Club Tennis Group (FCTG), the tournament features 16 teams who will compete for titles in two divisions.

Team Mac scored a 4-1 win against Team Ian with Roderick and Basil earning a 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 victory over Costa and Lei. After which, German and Ludwig doubled the lead with a 6-4 and 6-3 win over Dhijay and Magz. Rose and Steve then beat Ian and Elvie with 6-3, 7-5 and Vir and Ned made it 4-0 after winning against Rodney and Nick, ending with 6-1, 6-1.

Jojo and Jona from Team Ian won a consolation victory against Mae and Mary Rose with 6-0, 6-0.

In division one, Team Fuad took 5 games straight victory while Yousif and Abdulrahman Thawadi defeated Mike and Ronnel with 7-9, 6-3.

Haroon and Riyadh took a 6-0, 6-2 win over Manny and Dr. Lito while Abdulrahman Rajab and Hisham overpowered Girish and Mustafa with 6-7, 6-2, 10-5.

Fuad and Mohammed Salman celebrated victory over Dr. Zuhair and Amin with 6-1, 6-0 win as well as Khalid and Mohanned who overcame Billy and Albert with 6-1, 6-4.

Here are the other results:

Division One: Team Mundeng beat Team Vineeth 3-2, Team Aldwin beat Team Randy 4-1, and Team Viomel beat Team Roni 3-2.

Division Two: Team Lea beat Team Ching 3-2, Team Ching 1 beat Team Ana 3-2.
