Dubai-based developer Meydan said the contrusction of its Meydan One Mall is progressing as scheduled and is expected to be officially opened in the second half of 2020.

Meydan One Mall, which covers an area roughly 1.5 million square meters, is expected to dwarf existing malls in the emirate and other mega malls around the world, project proponents said.

The new mall will be host to a crystal lagoon water park, a kilometer-long ski slope, a 380-meter dancing fountain and a 4,000 square meter indoor electric gokart track – the first in the region.

There is also room for a massive multipurpose plaza that can hold up to 30,000 people at any given time. The event space is dedicated for entertainment purposes.

Some 550 shops, 190 restaurants and bars, and 13,200 square meter hypermarket will also cater to shoppers.

There is also no need to worry about parking slot. The Meydan One Mall can accommodate up to 12,000 vehicles.
