A bedsheet that was supposed to keep him warm became the cause of the death of a nine-month old baby in Sharjah.
The mother tried to wrap her baby in a bedsheet and tied the cloth to the side of the bed to prevent the child from falling as prepared her family’s meal for lunch.
However, the baby moved around, and fell off the bed with the bed sheet wrapped around his neck.
When the mother returned to the bedroom to check on her baby, she found him hanging from the side of the bed.
The mother then called for the national ambulance to rush her baby to Al Qassimi Hospital.The medical team tried several medical operations in his heart. The baby was also placed in the intensive care unit, put on the ventilator, and was under medical observation, but he passed away after two days.
