The hunt is on for the security guard of a school in Cebu in connection with the murder of a 14-year old student and dumping of her body inside a septic tank.
The suspect is identified Jessie Medequillo, 34 years old, security guard of Cogon Cruz Integrated School in Danao City, Cebu.
The victim, Thesa Marie Ygay, had a “close relationship” with the suspect, authorities say.
The suspect has been giving money to the victim to pay for her school needs, “until it came to a point that he had developed feelings for her.”
GMA News, meanwhile, reported that a CCTV caught the suspect leaving the school on Saturday, the day the victim was reported missing.
Aside from the body that was retrieved inside the septic tank last Monday, the guard house also has traces of blood and another building also bore blood marks on the wall. Also found outside the septic tank were knife, tube, and clothes of the victim.
The teenage girl sustained 34 stab wounds on different parts of her body, including in the chest and neck.
The other security guard who is manning the school noticed that the suspect has been acting weird the past few days.
The family of the victim reported Medequillo to the police blotter on March 25 because he shaved her head. The police said the suspect is apparently pissed at Ygay whenever she would go out with friends.
Ygay was immediately transferred to her aunt Lapu-Lapu City but unknown to them, the teenage girl went back to Danao City and went missing.
The police said they could not ascertain if Ygay has been molested because her body is already on an advanced state of decomposition.
