Paolo Duterte accuses Trillanes as mastermind behind video exposé linking him to illegal drug trade

Presidential son Paolo Duterte, who running unopposed as Davao first district representative, has accused Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as the mastermind behind the video circulating online linking him to illegal drug trade.

In a Facebook post, Duterte said: “If there’s anything admirable about Mr. Antonio Trillanes, it is his relentlessness and talent to turn the absurd into something ridiculous, if not bizarrely entertaining.”

He alleged that the video “has been clearly stamped with the indelible Trillanes signature”.

The politician also called the senator and known critic of the Duterte administration as a “desperate mercenary”.

In line with this, he mulls taking this to court by filing a string of cases against Trillanes.

“[I] have filed cases against Mr. Trillanes for ruining my name. I will file another string of cases for his continued attempts to destroy my reputation,” Duterte said.

He also refused the idea of showing the tattoo on his back. Instead, he dared those behind the video exposé “to back their claims against me.”

The video is making the rounds online involving the presidential son in the illegal drug syndicate in the country.

It is not known who uploaded the video and it is not also clear what kind of evidence is being presented.

The video shows a hooded man, who calls himself “Bikoy” who claims to be a former member of a drug syndicate while a narrator explains parts of the video.

A document called the tara, a document coming from the syndicate that contains the list of individuals who receive kickbacks, is also shown in the video.

“Siya ay gumagamit ng dalawang code name Polo Delta -TSG01 at Alpha Tierra-0029. Tama. Ang unang principal ng sindikato ay walang iba kundi si Paolo Duterte,” the narrator said.
