An 18-year-old grade 11 student was arrested in a drug bust operation conducted by the Regional Special Operations Group (Rsog) 7 on B. Aranas Ext. in Barangay San Nicolas Proper at dawn Sunday, March 24.

The suspect was identified as Michael David Marzon de Gracia, a resident of Sitio Mansanitas, Barangay Duljo-Fatima and a student of Gothong National High School in Cebu City, reported SunStar.

Authorities said that they were able to confiscate three kilos of white crystals from de Gracia, believed to be methamphetamine or shabu.

Police estimated the street value of the said illegal drugs in de Gracia’s possession to be around P6.8 million.

According to Rsog 7 Chief Ricardo Tero said that they have been monitoring de Gracia’s illegal activities for the past week. He has since been included on their list of high-value targets.

De Gracia was caught by police officers and barangay tanod during the said operation.

He pulled out a revolver and tried to shoot an officer when he was cornered, but an operative shot hit him on the limb first.

The student denied any involvement in illegal drug trade.
