The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has introduced a new innovation that will allow people to apply for entry permits to the UAE in 15 seconds without any human interaction.
The new automated service called “50+” uses Artificial Intelligence to allow authorities to issue eVisa, reported Khaleej Times.
The application time which used to take around four to six hours has been cut to 15 seconds.
Major-General Mohammad Ahmed Al Marri, director general of GDRFA, said that applicants can access the new smart system through the authorities smart app or website. 50+ will also be able to scan documents before issuing the entry permits.
Aside from the speedy process of issuing entry permits, it can also track suspicious or wanted individuals. Authorities also assured that personal information that will be received by the system will not get leaked or exposed to security threats.
The system also includes applications for visit visas and renewals.
