Three Asian women and a painter were produced in the Dubai Judicial Court on charges of trafficking a 16-year-old Asian girl.
The victim, who is believed to be suffering from a mental condition due to the ordeal, was brought to the UAE with a forged passport, as per police record.
They duped the minor into believing that she would land a good job in a women’s salon.
Little did she know that she would be forced to work as a prostitute.
The 16-year-old victim suffered from physical and mental abuse from the suspects, according to the authorities. She was also locked in a room during her entire stay in the country.
A police officer told the court: “When we rescued her, she was talking to herself and laughing without any reason.”
She was rescued by the authorities after a tip-off that the Department of Human Trafficking received from an informant.
